Gathering Times

We understand it can be intimidating to find your way around a new place. To help visitors become familiar with our church, friendly members and staff are on hand to help you find your way around. We look forward to meeting you at one of our gatherings throughout the week.

 When are your gatherings?

  • Sunday Gathering Times

    • 9-9:45 am – Groups of all ages and stages of life meet to share and discuss the impact of God's word on their lives. An attended nursery is available.

    • 10 am – A worship gathering for today's needs with songs, communion and relevant Bible teaching.

    • Life Groups – Evening gatherings take place at our building and all around town in the homes of our members.

  • Wednesday Night

    • *RESTARTING SOON* 5 pm – Westgate Christian School hosts Wednesday night supper each week (except for holidays and during the summer months). You can meet us in the gym and eat a great hot meal with your family for a very reasonable price and support the Westgate Christian School. (5:00 - 6:30 pm)

    • 6:30-7:30 pm – Classes for all ages meet to study the Bible, encourage personal spiritual growth, and address gender specific needs in men's and women's classes.

What is worship like?

The first thing you will probably notice is that there are no instruments. That's not an accident. We come from a rich heritage of vocal music that emphasizes simplicity, participation, and community. Our worship leaders – Joe Clements, Terry Pierce, Nick Gwin, David McLean, and Mark Register, along with our praise team – sing a mix of contemporary and traditional songs that lead worshipers to rejoice, reflect, and refocus. Most guests are inspired by the blend of harmonies and the sheer volume of hundreds of voices lifted in praise.

What to wear?

On Sunday morning you will see people dressed in a wide range of attire from jeans to dress clothes. We want everyone to feel at home.

What to bring?

The main thing we'd love you to bring is an open heart. If you have a Bible, we would love for you to bring it. If you do not have a Bible we will be glad to make a gift of one to you.  Many of our members also use the Bible located in our free Westgate app that can be downloaded here.

Where will my kids go?

Children are very important to us at Westgate. That is why we built a new children's wing on our campus and upgraded existing youth facilities. You are welcome to have your children with you in our worship gathering. But if you would prefer some "wiggle-free" worship time our children's ministry provides a terrific opportunity for kids to learn and interact in an environment just for them. Every Sunday during worship hour a group of men and women committed to the spiritual well being of our children produce a program that brings children and adults together for a shared life lesson based on Bible truths and Christian morals. We take great pride in caring for your children as well as making certain that the environment is safe. Our children's ministry leaders are well trained, motivated, and have undergone a thorough background screening process through national databases.

Communion and offering

Communion also known as the Eucharist or Lord's Supper is available each week to believers in Christ. As a guest you are not expected to make an offering. Offerings are made by our members as a part of their commitment to God and his church.

Bible Classes

Many members participate in our groups that meet immediately before our worship gathering. Whether you are new in the faith or have many years of maturity, we offer a class that will meet your needs. Classes generally meet by age group. We also offer group interaction in homes on Sunday evenings and a different slate of classes on Wednesday nights. There is always an attended nursery available and it is staffed with caring, trained, and certified individuals.
